If you travel with pets, you’ll want to find accommodation that welcomes them as well as you. Check into these pet-friendly hotels—some charging a pet fee—and enjoy your stay. Put on your pet’s leash and take your friend for a stroll in one of the city’s iconic, oak-draped parks or to one of the nearby beaches at Tybee Island.

Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa

As pet-friendly hotels go, it’s hard to beat views like the ones from the Westin across the Savannah River. Accessible by both car and ferry, this luxurious property allows two dogs up to 40 pounds for $100 per day. But keep in mind that you’ll be on a floor with other pet owners and that your pets must be attended at all times. In terms of amenities, they have a spa, restaurant, and golf facilities. You can also enjoy their signature bedding and free WiFi.

The Brice

This hotel is the only Savannah location from Kimpton Hotels, a chain that welcomes dogs at all of their properties, and is a short walk from the City Market. The Brice has modern furnishings, an in-house restaurant, and a courtyard. Pets are welcomed like guests in their own right with treats and bowls of food and aren’t charged a fee—the only downtown hotel to do this. Don’t worry about the size, weight, or breed, as all are welcome! The concierge can point you in the direction of the closest dog parks and pet-friendly restaurants. Guests can also imbibe in the nightly wine receptions, a favorite amenity.

The Thunderbird Inn

Step back in time with this midcentury modern-inspired hotel near the Savannah College of Art and Design. Brightly colored furnishings and daily Krispy Kreme doughnuts are favorite features at Thunderbird Inn for you, while pet beds, gourmet pet treats, and a souvenir pet tag are for your furry friends. You can bring up to four pets under 150 pounds for $50 per stay. At check in, accept a map that showcases the best pet-friendly spots around town.

La Quinta Inn Savannah Midtown

One of the chain’s three Savannah locations, La Quinta Inn does not charge a pet fee. Located a short drive south from downtown, the budget-friendly hotel has suites and amenities like a swimming pool, free breakfast, and free WiFi. Pets of all size are welcome and motel-style rooms make it easy to let your pet out when you need to. The hotel is convenient to outdoor spaces at Tybee Island and Fort Pulaski for you to explore with your pet.

Mansion on Forsyth Park

Even the most luxurious property in the city welcomes your pets! The restored Victorian home boasts four diamond certification and an award-winning spa. Your pets are welcome for a fee and the location is convenient for strolls in namesake Forsyth Park, which has its iconic fountain. Free WiFi, cooking classes, a full restaurant, Versace furnishings, and a swimming pool are included in its amenities. The Mansion is also a short walk from the city’s best attractions.
